Not only does it have an insanely detailed chapter on jobs, but an absolutely brilliant leveling guide as well (see my review). I so wish I had gotten that when I first bought the game – it would have saved me a lot of time (which could have been used to improve the design of this blog instead :))
Jobs in FFXIV allow players to become highly specialized in a particular chosen field. As players gain mastery over their chosen class, Disciples of War and Magic can then choose a job to further define their character’s abilities. A correctly selected job can help create an invaluable character; one you and your companions will soon greatly appreciate. By specializing in a chosen job, players can fill niche roles that will better prepare them and their party for the bloody battles ahead. Adventurers seeking glory in group combat situations especially will come to appreciate these beneficial specialties.
